Unai Emery has confirmed he does not know when he will be able to call upon Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac again.
The duo missed Arsenal’s Premier League opener at Newcastle as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal was enough to seal a 1-0 victory for the north Londoners.
Kolasinac bravely fought off a knife-wielding moped gang that attempted to attack him and Ozil last month and further security concerns forced their omission on Sunday.
Ozil has stepped up protection at his home with burly security guards and 24-hour dog patrol.
Following the win over the Magpies, Emery said, “The club is managing that circumstance.
“We want to be with them as soon as possible and with normality in training and normality to be ready to play.
“But I don’t know now when they will be available.”
Arsenal released a statement ahead of the Newcastle match confirming the duo’s security was still under threat, meaning they wouldn’t be able to feature.
